The ICA Regional Conference, Digital Transformations, Social Media Engagement and the Asian Century, will take place at the Queensland U of Technology (QUT) city campus in Brisbane, Australia, from 1-3 October 2014.

A formal call for papers will be issued in November 2013. Paper abstracts and panel proposals will be sought around the themes of: digital media and society; information media and journalism; entertainment media and culture; convergence law, policy and political economy; Asian media in transition; communication and engagement; interpersonal, intercultural and organizational communication; social media and communications practice; science and environmental communication; and communication and health, education and social change.
