PhD Studentships at KCL in US Cultural Studies

The Institute of North American Studies at King’s is pleased to offer two PhD Studentships for students starting the PhD in 2013/14. They are open to students intending to undertake research within the Institute, and especially in the fields of:

  • U.S. Popular Culture
  • American Cultural Studies and Theory
  • Secrecy and/or Transparency
  • U.S. Conspiracy Cultures
  • Politics and Contemporary Political History
  • United States and the World
  • U.S. Religious Studies
  • The Institute of North American Studies’ PhD Studentships will cover tuition fees at home/EU level and provide an annual stipend at the research council level for up to three years subject to satisfactory progress. Please note that students who are required to pay tuition fees at the overseas rate are eligible to apply but will be required to cover the difference between the home/EU and international fee level from alternative sources.

    Please note that the deadline for applications for the 2012/13 academic year is 17:00 on Wednesday 1 May 2013, and the funding decision will be announced week commencing 3 June 2013.
