Student Opportunity:

The Performative Possibilities of New Media Roundtable

We are pleased to announce a new The Critical Lede roundtable titled "The Performative Possibilities of New Media" with folks who incorporate new media into their scholarship. The roundtable participants consist of Marcy Chvasta, Craig Gingrich-Philbrook, Jonny Gray, Michael Levan and Ted Striphas. In the roundtable we discuss how new media scholarship is performative, the limitations of new media as scholarship, the inherent vulnerability of scholars using new media, and how new media challenges traditional blind review processes.

The roundtable can be heard by going to http://bit.ly/gHpYG4 and clicking the podcast tab on the top of the page. It can also be accessed for free by searching "The Critical Lede" on iTunes. The Critical Lede is a weekly podcast focused on critical/cultural communication scholarship. We love getting suggestions of articles to review, authors for potential interviews or roundtable topics. Suggestions can be posted on our facebook page http://on.fb.me/gh5EoE or sent to thecriticallede@gmail.com
