The Department of Film, Theatre & Television, University of Reading, would like to invite applications for AHRC Doctoral Studentships and University Research Studentships.
We have a thriving postgraduate research culture and support discipline-specific doctoral research in film, theatre and television, alongside inter-disciplinary research. A significant proportion of our current PhD students conduct research by practice in theatre and film.

University of Reading Research Studentships in Arts and Humanities / AHRC Doctoral Studentships
University of Reading Research Studentships are available in all arts and humanities disciplines to well qualified applicants.
AHRC Doctoral Studentships
AHRC Doctoral Studentships are available in the following disciplines for 2013/14:
* Drama, Dance and Performing Arts
* History of Art
UK students who satisfy certain residency criteria are eligible for awards covering fees at the Home/EU rate and provide a maintenance grant (stipend), the current (2012/13) level of which is £13,590 for full-time study. Students from EU countries other than the UK who satisfy certain residency criteria are eligible to apply for fees-only AHRC awards and are eligible to apply for full University of Reading Research Studentships.
Applying for a studentship
You will need to complete both an online application for admission to a Postgraduate Degree at the University of Reading and a separate application form for a studentship. You will also need to ensure that two referee's reports (report form below) are returned to the University by the closing date.
