AV Requirements - How to Prepare for Your Presentation

As you prepare for London, please keep in mind the audio/visual components that you will need for your presentation. All presentation materials should be formatted electronically; slide projectors and TV/VCRs will not be available.

Bring Your Own Laptop

Each meeting room is equipped with an LCD projector, with a laptop connector cord. ***Please Note: Each presenter is responsible for bringing his or her own laptop computer when using the projector. Laptops WILL NOT be provided in the room or onsite for presenter use. ***

Using a Mac?

Make sure you have an adapter (DVI or VGA) to ensure that your laptop can connect to the projector. If you have specific questions on presentation times or formats, please email your division chair as formats vary across sessions.

FAQ:

Q: Will there be internet access?

A: Wireless internet is available in all the meeting rooms.

Q: How are the rooms equipped for audio?

A: In most cases for the smaller meeting rooms, audio speakers will NOT be available, and the laptop speakers will need to be used. For smaller rooms, this does suffice. For larger rooms, we have supplied audio speakers if the division chairs requested them.

Q: What if I don't have a laptop?

A: If you do not have a personal laptop, please correspond with the division chair or session organizer for your session. They will be able to help you coordinate with fellow session participants who are willing to share during the session.
