ACFAS 2013 - Track: "Between Reflectivity and Prescription: Analysis of the Learning and Training of Communicators"
9-10 May 2013, Université de Laval
Four axes, four workshops:
The objective of this two-day conference is to stimulate the exchange and discussion of articles or texts submitted prior to the reading of all participants.
Similar to the mission of RESIPROC (International Research Network on the professionalization of communicators), this conference aims to create bridges between the academic and professionals to offer unique perspectives on the professionalization communicators. While urging scientific input, it also admits empirical looks on the question of professionalization. In an open dialogue between the two environments, we will try to trace the areas of sharing and avenues of optimization of different processes leading to the professionalization.
Four axes are proposed:
Axis 1: professionalizing approaches of university courses: training models (internships, study, apprenticeship training), teaching methods (case studies, tutored projects), links with socio-economic players in the world.
Axis 2: Training professional skills, intergenerational transmission of knowledge and experiences (tutoring, peer exchange) on the workplace of the communicator.
Axis 3: Career and training, competitiveness and the discriminatory nature of lifelong learning and initial training on the career of the communicator.
Axis 4: Collaboration, competition and coopetition on the lifelong training market (certificates, executive education, professional associations) in communication.
Ultimately, we aim to publish the conference proceedings under notebooks of RESIPROC (University Press of Louvain) in autumn 2013.
