#1 MAYOR’S RECEPTION IN THE ALBRECHTSBURG CASTLE

Time: Tuesday, June 20, 7:00 pm

Cost: $25.00 USD

Limit: 500 persons

On Tuesday evening the mayor of Dresden invites conference participants to a reception in one of the landmark buildings of Dresden, the Albrechtsburg Castle. The castle overlooks the Elbe valley and the city of Dresden and is situated in the center of one of the official World Heritage Sites. Depending on the weather, the reception will be held in the castle’s salons or the park. Registration fee includes food, beverage, and musical entertainment. The event is sponsored by the City of Dresden, the German Communication Association (DGPuK), the Bertelsmann Corporation, and private sponsors. The castle is a 30 to 40 minute walk from the conference center and is also easily accessible by public transportation (direct line by streetcar). Limited bus transportation will be provided for those with special mobility issues. **Please indicate your need for bus transportation when you register for this excursion by selecting the special transportation option on the registration form.**



#2 AN EVENING AT THE SEMPER OPERA – Mozart’s “Magic Flute” - Tuesday

Cost: $75.00 USD

Limit: 58 persons

As a special offer for conference attendees, ICA has booked ticket blocks for performances in the famous Semper Opera. The Semper Opera is situated only a five minute walk from the International Congress Centre. Its interior is worth a visit alone, but with an opera performance it will be a real artistic highlight.



#3 AN EVENING AT THE SEMPER OPERA – Wagner’s “Twilight of the Gods” - Wednesday

Time: Wednesday, June 21, 5:30 pm

Cost: $65.00 USD

Limit: 50 persons

Wagner acted in the first opera presented at the Semper in the 1840’s. As a special offer for conference attendees, ICA has booked ticket blocks for performances in the famous Semper Opera. The Semper Opera is situated only a five minute walk from the International Congress Centre. Its interior is worth a visit alone but with an opera performance it will be a real artistic highlight.



#4 CONFERENCE CHILL-OUT WITH WINE TASTING AND DINNER

Time: Friday, June 23, 3:00 pm

Cost: $45.00 USD

Limit: 150 persons

In the surrounding area of Dresden there is a relatively small but well-known wine-growing district. On Friday afternoon, immediately after the conference has ended, we have booked one of the winery castles exclusively for ICA. While dining you can taste different Saxonian wines in a picturesque old castle and learn more about the tradition of wine growing. Registration fee includes food, wines, and transportation by buses.
