The second major resource is the IJPC Web site – www.ijpc.org. We not only feature original papers and research, but also seminal articles difficult to find elsewhere, including papers given at conferences and other academic events or published in hard-to-find journals and magazines. One example of original research is “Sob Sisters: The Image of the Female Journalist in Popular Culture.” It includes a lengthy introductory essay and a bibliography featuring more than 8,500 items from 1700 to 2004.

Another popular feature of the Web site is the IJPC Class Materials section, making it easy for any professor to establish an Image of the Journalist in Movies and Television class using tapes and materials available from the IJPC. These classes have proven to not only be very popular, but also to provide students with a unique perspective on journalism and the media.
