2017 Pairing with Colleagues Mentor/Mentee Program

We look forward to seeing you in May at the ICA conference in San Diego. We solicited Health Communication Division Mentors in early April. Thanks to the 40 mentors who volunteered.

Calling All Mentees!

To officially sign up as a mentee and to initiate the matching process, CLICK THIS LINK: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1uDUP8EObSzLpo6Oz9uc6fXX46gqtoaEyGnHHhq--VYM/edit#gid=1692374008 to sign up for a mentor. Please note the following on the sign-up sheet:

    · The name, contact information, and background of each mentor

    · The number of mentees each mentor is willing to take (denoted as “# of mentees taking”)

Next, make sure to fill in your name and email address next to a mentor with an available slot. If slot 1 is taken when you open the sign-up sheet, please only take slot 2 if the mentor has indicated he/she will pair with two mentees. Similarly, if slot 1 and 2 are taken, please only take slot 3 if the mentor has indicated he/she will pair with three mentees.

Note: Please practice kindness and do not delete a mentee’s name from the sign-up sheet. AND PLEASE ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE SLOT! We are relying on the honor system. Thank you!

We will contact you with confirmation of your pairing by May 12th so that you have time to connect with your mentor before the conference. Once you receive confirmation of your pairing, you are responsible for initiating email contact with your mentor. Emailing your mentor will give you a chance to identify a time to meet each other during the conference, such as during the joint Health Communication/Mass Communication reception Friday May 26th at Quad Ale House (868 Fifth Ave, San Diego, 92101) from 18:30 - 20:00. Additional guidance will be provided in the forthcoming confirmation email.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me (eyho@usfca.edu). See you soon in San Diego!
