Welcome to the website for the Health Communication Division of the International Communication Association (ICA).

The Health Communication Division is committed to excellence in research on the development of theory as well as the application of theory to communication in health promotion and health care. Our division has 520 members from 34 countries, representing more than 169 institutions. Areas of research include provider-patient interaction, social support networks, health information systems, medical ethics, health policy and health campaigns.
