Media literacy is one of the key concepts within modern information and communication societies and a prerequisite for societal, political, and civic participation. The preconference aims to bring together international scholars that conceptualize and investigate media literacy as a lifelong intergenerational project, describing and explaining similarities and differences of generation specific media skills, norms as well as reciprocal mediation processes and practices.
