In line with previous editions of the intergroup communication symposium, we focus on the interplay between communication and intergroup relations across various domains. We encourage work that explores the role of language and communication in addressing societal issues, including but not limited to inequality, discrimination, social cohesion, multiculturalism/multilingualism, political polarization, migration, digital communication, and media discourse. We also welcome research situated in applied settings such as education, healthcare, organizational contexts, community relations, and other intergroup domains where communication plays a central role.

Call for Abstracts

Abstracts should be a maximum 200 words and must clearly align with the conference focus on intergroup communication.

To enhance and ensure fit to the topic and history of the field of “intergroup communication”, see the current 8 Principles of intergroup communication on the website <https://sites.google.com/view/ig4surrey/submission-info> .
