Since ICA has such a diverse membership, we are always searching for a wide variety of exhibitors every year. One of our goals each year is to increase traffic in the exhibit hall. Per usual, our coffee breaks will be in the exhibit hall. This will increase the opportunity for exhibitors and members to interact.


Who Attends an ICA Conference?

Exhibiting at the ICA Annual Conference offers superb opportunities to
meet face-to-face with 2,700 communication scholars from all around the
world, highlight your services, and increase your visibility and sales. Last year,
our paper submission website received over 3,500 submissions for the conference!

Attendees include:

  • Graduate students looking to expand and establish their careers.
  • University faculty such as professors, department chairs, and program directors.
  • Representatives from organizations who focus on communication studies.

  • Who Exhibits at an ICA Conference?

    Organizations interested in reaching university educators, graduate students, and organizations who's focuses are in the wide range of communication. Typical exhibitors are university departments and publishers of university-level texts, journals, and periodicals. But we are not limited to just universities and publishers. We would love to expand the variety of exhibitors at our conferences and encourage all sorts of organizations or businesses to exhibit.

    Please note there is a limited number of exhibit and sponsorship opportunities.

    All reservations will be made on a first-come, first-served basis and contract must be accompanied with payment or letter or intent with priority going to Sponsors. All cancellation fees will be enforced after 21 February.

     

    Sponsors and exhibitors that have submitted contracts by the deadline of 21 February will begin selecting booths the week of 24 February. Dates are subject to change.

     
    Remaining booths after will still be available for reservation. Booth assignments are on a first-reserved basis and availability.

     

    NEW THIS YEAR!

    New this year, ICA will now allow registered exhibitors/sponsors to hold up to three paid sessions at the conference (pending room availability). The rules for the awarding of these sessions are as follows: 
    • The company must be a paid current exhibitor and/or Sponsor of the conference. Please submit exhibit contract ,on page 18, to confirm booth and/or sponsorship.
    • Approved sessions WILL be listed in the main program among the regular educational sessions, and each will be designated as a "CORPORATE SPOTLIGHT SESSION: HOSTED BY: _____"
    • Based on past experience, companies hosting sessions are encouraged to offer ICA member discounts on products as a means of increasing attendance
    • The cost for each session is US $750. Sessions are typically 75 minutes and room sizes vary from 60 pax to 250 (please submit your desired room capacity when you submit your request). The company must submit payment for the session fees (and booth or sponsorship) prior to 1 April, or the sessions will be removed from the program. Most larger rooms come with A/V equipment already installed and there will be no additional fee. In the case of some smaller meeting rooms (fewer than 20 pax), equipment will need to be added for a fee as these rooms are not typically used for presentations. 
    • To book a corporate session, please use this link to submit your request and you will be contacted for further information if needed. In the final text box on the form, please mention that this is a corporate session and your company name.

    Advertise at #ica20

    There are many ways to advertise at our annual conference: printed program ad, mobile app ad, or even sponsor an event.


    Printed Program Advertising

    All members receive a printed conference program on site at registration and have access to the mobile app. The conference program is a vital tool and souvenir for attendees. The conference program includes scheduling and other essential conference-related information.

    Mobile App Advertising

    One of our new advertising opportunities is the ability to offer in-app advertising for your school or company. This provides an interactive opportunity to advertise to what is becoming the preferred way members receive the conference schedule. Making advertising in the mobile app available reinforces our continuous effort towards being green. By encouraging more app downloads versus printed programs, we will not only make your conference bag lighter, but help save trees.

    The rotating banner display is at the bottom of every page on the mobile app (and tablet).

    Sponsor an Event (or become a Sponsor)

    Sponsor a Refreshment. Exhibitors/Advertisers may sponsor morning or afternoon refreshment breaks for a US$1,500 fee. These sponsors are recognized in the ICA Conference Program, the Conference Mobile App, and in conference signage.

    Sponsorship Opportunities. Sponsorship opportunities provide additional avenues to promote your organization to conference attendees. Among the opportunities to available to sponsor: special events, preconferences, featured speakers, concurrent sessions, poster sessions, receptions, and more.
